Smaller Chocolate Suicide

Chocolate Suicide.  Again.  Why not?  It freaking rocks.  But what doesn't rock is being on an all protein-noting else diet in prep for a photo shoot tomorrow.  So I didn't get to partake.  Not even a lick of the extra batter in the bowl.  That, folks, is what you call will power.  Okay, okay I did save a tiny bit of frosting to have on Saturday :)

So the ingredients are the same as the large Chocolate Suicide Cake, just halve 'em, pour into a 13 x 9 inch pan, and bake for 40 minutes.

I lined the bottom of the pan with wax paper, because since this cake is so sticky and dense, it doesn't pop out of the pan as well as you might like it too.  This solves that problem.  You will have to slice this cake in half to take advantage of the ganache filling.  To make cutting easier, let the cake cool to room temperature, then slowly slice lengthwise with a large serrated knife.

Knock yourselves out!  (Literally.  This cake will do that to you.)

Oh, and the not so great photos again?  Forgot to photograph along the way, I was on a contact high from all the chocolate.  These are from my phone as I was delivering the cake.
